Superb photography. Each scene you have captured is so expressive. My favourite is the first, however, with the little green plant peeping out of the open top-floor window :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful atmosphere these photos conjure up
ReplyDeleteThanks
Chrissy
the perfect building for Mozart - so precise.
ReplyDeleteThe light!
the light!
Magnificent
This city is a paradise !
ReplyDeleteMozart's house is very beautiful. I like the style.
I like Wien !
Kisses
I thought these looked familiar -- I love that tree in the courtyard!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed by your pictures and by how clean Vienna is compared to most other cities. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEnlarging each picture is such a treat! Such a gorgeous city, and yes, so clean.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments!
ReplyDeleteKaren:
I tried to look into publishing the blog with larger pictures. I did not like the look: I like the storyboard-like look of my daily posts. It gets lost with larger pictures. My compromise then was to load a higher image quality, making it possible to enlarge them when clicked upon.
In new posts, I am using watermarks now for the simple reason that my pictures got stolen in massive amounts. I don't have the time to try to stop these - mostly anonymous - websites, but at least my watermark shows on their sites.
Of course I am aware that it is easy to remove the watermarks, but those large websites seem to not bother (they are stealing too many pictures, robots really).
The copyright protects them only insofar as it is easier to proof that the original was indeed my picture and not vice versa.

My exams have been postponed twice already this morning. More time to forget all the stuff! ;-)
A wonderful weekend to all of you,
cheers,
Merisi
Thank you for the taking of a lovely stroll, one that I may never take, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSomehow the sunlight in all your pictures looks cool and refreshing, not hot and sweltery. Is it hot there, or are the pictures telling the truth?

ReplyDeleteHumidity is very low, and usually there's a little breeze.
Good morning Merisi! So enjoying your photos of mid-summer in the beautiful city of Vienna. That tree in the courtyard is my favorite of this group.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked the format of your blog (saw your note to Karen) which you have never changed...not sure how you manage to avoid that temptation...and I may go back to something simple like this myself soon.
Kleines Café is our, well, my husband's Stammlokal--thereby mine by default, even though I prefer a quieter vibe. We know a lot of people who go there.
ReplyDeleteAnyway.
Good luck with exams.
Here's hoping that the exams are over and they all went well!
ReplyDeleteI want to take a stroll there!
ReplyDeleteCharming ...
Favourite corners at my favourite time of the year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty city..
ReplyDeleteYour photos make it just like being there..
merci carolg
