  3. Dearest Merisi,
This looks so yummy! Black Forest Cake was my father-in-law's favorite, so he must be saying "Hello" to us!

Thank you so much for checking in with me. Real life has once again been getting in the way of blogging life, but things seem to be coming together again now.

As always, your beautiful blog is like a small vacation each time I come here. Thank you so much!

    Wishing you an extra-nice weekend!

Good thing I did not hit the archives until it was too late to get out and not only photograph the cake, but eat it too! ;-)

  8. Oh yes, you tempted me. How beautiful with the cherry on top. Now how can you do that on the first day of trying lose a little weight! I will just dream and hope it doesn't add anything to my body by just dreaming.

    1. Imagine, you and me, both dreaming. That alone would halve any calories! ;-)

  9. Dearest Merisi,
You are so dear to check in with me once again. I have been too busy trying to keep everything afloat here, but I do so miss my mini-vacations to Vienna with you! Thank you so much for your nice wishes for us and in reference to your other note, I agree, I'm glad someone's hearing is getting better at this age!!!! When things settle down here, I will be back to visit more often, promise!

    With biggest hugs,

    Betty

  11. I laughed outloud to read Cipriano's "Lord have mercy!" as that is exactly my reaction. My daughter and I have spent the weekend making madeleines (lemon thyme) and buttercreams to fill her macarons. All I need is to lick one more spoon!

    Love these photos...

    Just ... divine !!!

    My will has disappeared
    Now confusion is so clear
    Temptation, temptation, temptation
    I can't resist
    Temptation, temptation, temptation
    I can't resist ...
