Red-Laced White Narcissus
looking down on white and magenta tulips
and burgundy peony buds
Granny's Preserving Pan
holding armfuls
of white lilac
Yellow and Orange Tulips
holding forth,
defiantly, no matter
they are late to the party
Take Me Home
the price is right!
And there the lilacs go,
their fragrance wafting
by the cheeses
who could not care less
about flowery perfumes:
"You wait a year,
then we'll see who
perseveres!"

Hi Merisi, it looks like Spring is in full bloom in Vienna. So many beautiful colors, and I can almost smell the lilacs. The cheese looks rather tasty too. Thank you for making your photos clickable....I always long to see the details close up!

ReplyDeleteEvery one of these blooms is a beauty...peony time is a favorite of mine.
ReplyDelete(I've got a photo of tulips on a certain Avenue for you to see...I almost missed them this year.)

My favourite flowers, May is the best month in the whole year!
ReplyDeleteIt appears as if you've captured beauty quite well.
