  1. Oh Thank you, Merisi, for starting my day and my week with something lovely words from Mr. Sandburg!

Your spring in Vienna looks wonderful!

  2. What a beautiful quote, dear Merisi, and a wonderful way to start a Monday. I am off to do my taxes. As always, I procrastinate, though they are VERY simple with the job loss, retirement and my income at $100,000 less than it used to be!

  11. This is the funniest coincidence. When I was just at Demel in early March (visiting from Los Angeles), I took a few pictures of the people next to me, a young woman and her little friend or daughter, and they are the same people in your picture from this post. I will post it on my humble blog so you can see, if you wish. On the day I was there, the woman was drawing pictures of girls in gowns for her little blondie to color in. It was a sweet connection they had and I was struck by them.
Also by my Buchteln in Vanillesauce, but that's another story.

    Daisy,
I have seen her before, Sunday morning, drawing with her daughter.
