What a beautiful quote, dear Merisi, and a wonderful way to start a Monday. I am off to do my taxes. As always, I procrastinate, though they are VERY simple with the job loss, retirement and my income at $100,000 less than it used to be!
This is the funniest coincidence. When I was just at Demel in early March (visiting from Los Angeles), I took a few pictures of the people next to me, a young woman and her little friend or daughter, and they are the same people in your picture from this post. I will post it on my humble blog so you can see, if you wish. On the day I was there, the woman was drawing pictures of girls in gowns for her little blondie to color in. It was a sweet connection they had and I was struck by them. Also by my Buchteln in Vanillesauce, but that's another story.
Oh Thank you, Merisi, for starting my day and my week with something lovely words from Mr. Sandburg!
ReplyDeleteYour spring in Vienna looks wonderful!
