onto the sun-gilded riparian band of the left shore,
nestled in a white-dusted wintry landscape

    Merisi, the first photo of the Wien river is a work of art - so beautiful I could stare at it forever. It's always such fun to come to your blog. And thanks for the memories of San Marco in Venice - wow, you certainly were up early to catch the square in what must be a rare moment of peaceful solitude!
