We're gonna need nome Coffee. soon!

Yes, Coffee. Pleeease!
"Armer Hund"
"Poor Fellow"
Literally: Poor Dog

Whenever I happen to run
from St. Stephen's Cathedral
along Rotenturmstrasse,
I look for this darling stuffed dog,
part of a varied collection
of stuffed bears and toys
of the owner of this exquisite
antiques and interior store.
I thank him at each and every visit
from the bottom of my heart
for his sweet and witty exhibition
of toys.
I also love his superb
selection of antique and new bentwood furniture,
including designs by Josef Hoffmann,
Adolf Loos and Koloman Moser,
manufactured by Thonet and Kohn.

Gone to the dogs,
not necessarily a harsh fate
here in Vienna!

  1. Merisi,

I would also made a point of passing by a shop to see these charming folks. They have lovely personalities, each and every one.

All your recent posts showing us around Vienna as Christmas nears are helping me to really get the spirit of the season.

    Many thanks! xo

Clicking on the "Ambiente Galerie" label will take you to a few more images of their teddy bear collection.

    Charles,
    I agree! :-)
He gets moved around, at times I have to search for him. ;-)

  4. What adorable bears. I collect bears and try to bring one home on each trip to Europe. My current one is tres French.

The teddy with the scarf seems to be looking straight at me and saying he would like to go home with me. How I wish little fellow. I hope he finds a nice home.
