It was snowing so hard
that dusk arrived around three
in the afternoon today.
By the time I captured this image,
those lucky enough to have found
a seat at a table were able to watch
from the warmth of a coffeehouse
the lit chandeliers on Graben Square,
where the falling and drifting snow
slowly filled every nook
of the outside world.

That is the most delightful snowglobe I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an impressionist painting at first glance.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything more heavenly than warmth and light (and coffee) and the sight of falling snow?
ReplyDelete(Last night I had a dinner party and one of my guests told me that he is going to be the model for Schubert at the Madame Tussaud's in Vienna. Isn't that funny! Another whimsical reason to visit Vienna!)
I can't believe I don't see a reflection of the photographer in the window! :)
ReplyDeleteI know that snow globe feeling! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove the photographic snowglobe--and the written one, too!
ReplyDeleteI want to be sitting there RIGHT NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteover a cuppa hot chocky....
instead of over a half-finished watercolor at 4:48 am freezing my buns off :)
Merry snow time
