She's so modern! I'm no longer on FB. Hey Merisi, Thank you much for all the great advise. Will let you know as things progress on Picassa. It boggles my mind to think about how technology works!
What's the point of Facebook without friends? Is she just going to post her photos so that we can aspire to her lifestyle? (I giggle at the thought of her posing and pouting in the Facebook style; as demonstrated by any 13-18 year old in the world.)
Oh my, I'm sure if Lilibet knew that you wanted to be her friend the invite would be forthcoming quick as you can say "dearlorddoesthatpeasantactullythinkihavetimetocommunicatewiththesweatymasses"...lol Maybe if you offered her a piece of that cheesecake! hugs Sandi
Thank you all for your comments, I enjoyed reading them immensely! :-)))
Alan, good question! I think if used in the right manner, it can be a useful tool. Just being there to hunt for the highest number of friends, people you don't even know, it becomes another thing entirely, though, almost a drug. Just like blogging can become an empty pursuit of followers, visiting, commenting only because you want a large number of followers, regardless if you enjoy reading their blogs. Reminds me a bit of the Christmas card game, where you send out a card to any address you somehow got ahold of over the years, just so you can see you receive hundreds of Christmas cards. On the other hand, it is a harmless hobby, come to think of it! Maybe I should write a card or two this year, just to see? ;-)
I will have a word with Her Majesty on your behalf right away.

It's hard to feel too snubbed when the consolation prize is that delicious cheesecake!
ReplyDeleteI rather have your desert than Facebook anytime! Have a great week, Merisi!
ReplyDeleteHeavenly cheesecake ... mmmm... Is HM allowing people to post messages on her wall? Then we could all let her know we're feeling snubbed.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, yum--this is beautiful! Love the look of that!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I know just how you feel. May I please have a piece of that cheesecake too?
ReplyDeleteOh yummy
ReplyDeleteDid you eat it and was it lemony etc.?
I doubt the Queen eats cheesecake - quite a life of deprivation if you ask me.
What a beautiful presentation!
