Autumn in Vienna
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church

"Our Lady Queen of Martyrs"
"Maria Königin der Märtyrer"
Rudolfsheim
15th District

The Neo-Gothic Church
was built in the years 1893-1899

This place of worship
was heavily damaged during
Allied bombing raids in February 1945

Restoration work was not
completed until twenty years later,
in the mid-sixties

Currently, stonemasons are sandblasting
the church portal, in an effort
to remove environmental damage
and restore its former beauty
