;) I have my Christmas greetings mailed today, all 82. My tree is adorned for the holidays as of last week and will stand until after the New Years and as for shopping...I have no clue what I am getting any one...but I shall be ready by Christmas eve ;)

Yes, we were prepared to enjoy today and enjoy we did! In our jammies all day! This was our first year not working retail on Black Friday in three years...What a lovely day it has been!
I'm never ready and I definitely stay away from the malls on the day after. Just too crazy for me. Too much greed and pushing and shoving. It seems the real meaning of Christmas is totally gone.
No, not for the shopping part.

ReplyDeleteI leave these lines up for you,
temporarily:
The title and author of this poem can be found at the bottom of my November 20, post:
We sit late, watching the dark slowly unfold:
No clock counts this.
When kisses are repeated and the arms hold
There is no telling where time is.
It is midsummer: the leaves hang big and still:
Behind the eye a star,
Under the silk of the wrist a sea, tell
Time is nowhere.
We stand; leaves have not timed the summer.
No clock now needs
Tell we have only what we remember:
Minutes uproaring with our heads
Like an unfortunate King's and his Queen's
When the senseless mob rules;
And quietly the trees casting their crowns
Into the pools.
