A Leaf Fluttered In
through the window this morning,
as if supported by the rays of the sun,
a bird settled on the fire escape,
joy in the task of coffee,
joy accompanied me as I walked.

Lovely image & poem
ReplyDeleteto start my day.
Your post is my go-to every morning. Thank you.
Your pictures have prompted me to make myself a mock-melange, but it won't look as nice as that one!
ReplyDeleteHello Merisi. I've been away too long and I could just do with a cup of that delicious looking coffee. Single-handedly you must have increased sales of java world wide.
ReplyDeleteMerisi, your farewell to September and welcome to October posts are marvelous.
ReplyDeleteYes, you did surprise me with the McD cafe photos!
Those steps are always a joy to behold. And the translation (I presume) of the poem they bear is very beautiful.
As I have breakfast on this rainy October 1, your coffee post with the leafy motif has delighted me.
Best wishes
Can we really choose? Too hard! Thanks anyway ;)
ReplyDeleteI am still drinking my morning tea, but it would be difficult to say no if that cappuccino arrived on my desk now. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see or taste on of these decorated coffees...
ReplyDeleteBut then I don't need to since I can enjoy them virtually here!
Glorious cups of Joe

ReplyDeleteAn Arkies Musings
I've been away far too long and realize how much I miss this wonderful blog.
ReplyDeleteYou're photos of the divine cups of coffee really make me want a cup right now. Alas, I better not. Its almost bed time.
I was in Levallois (Paris western suburb) yesterday... I walked round the town, discovered and photographed a lot. When it started raining, I stopped at a small coffee place and had a "grand crème", and thought of you, trying to imagine which angle you would have chosen to shoot the cup and its tiny Breton biscuit on that lovely mauvish-grey garden table...

Words and images -- a lovely melange a la Merisi! (Over at my place today, I have a little homage to Merisi -- city shots and no cows.)

ReplyDeleteAn autumn leaf in your coffee...delightful! Delicious too, I imagine.
ReplyDeleteI love how you find precisely the perfect words to go with your always-striking images, Merisi!
ReplyDeleteDear Friend,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have been well! My visits to the world of Blog have been few and far between as of late, but I am trying to catch up now.
Wish I was there having a cappuccino with you!
