Merisi, I am too ignorant of the identities of the Vienna windows to even make a guess.
I am, however, so lucky to have been treated to your posts, and have just treated myself to the variety of those recent postings, from farmers market to architecture, to amazing shops and styles and ... was that really a cake?
I shot the pictures yesterday with
ReplyDeletemy Nikon 85mm macro lens,
standing on my toes.
A wonderful Sunday to all of you!
Merisi :-)
I like my window even better right at the moment.
ReplyDeleteNo idea where it is, but I love this window! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI only know Vienna through your photos, which is a very fine way to know it. I do love this window. It looks rather like a magic portal.
ReplyDeleteI like the shape of the window in the foreground. It makes me think of a monastery or a convent: the window of a cell.
ReplyDeleteFrom the dome of St. Peters?
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew Vienna well :)!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful fairy tale window! I suspect it's in the Hobbit quarter.
ReplyDeletePortal, monastery, convent, dome (even though there is none here), all point in the right direction! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI added one more window. Same building.
Gruss Gott Frau M,
ReplyDeletethe round shape made me think that it was a church.

Susan Von,
ReplyDeleteyes, it is a church,
the window above the entrance, seen from the vestibule, standing on the threshold of another door.
Frances,
yes, that is a cake on legs in the pastry kitchen of Demel's patisserie. I'll try to put the rest of the lady up soon. ;-)
@ Susan Von,
ReplyDeletewould you be so kind and drop me a line via email?
Thank you,
Merisi
Franziskaner Kirche?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I haven't been there so... I couldn't guess but the photos are beautiful!
