Saliva just gushed into my mouth...not a pretty image but I swear it is true. Dammit, there is nothing in the house that remotely resembles that cake...I want it, now, please mum.
Happy, happy travels. Lucky You!! Well yummmm on the Napoleon. Not fair when my tummy is growling and I haven't had my first cup of coffee for the day. (:0)
Oh, MAN! I haven't had much time for checking out my favorite blogs, but I am taking a break and saw these gorgeous photos--that strawberry napolean has my name all over it, Merisi. YUM. Could I go for that right now! It's a good thing I'm at work and have nothing like that remotely nearby! Ha!!! Thanks for the drool.
That strawberry napoleon looks incredibly gorgeous. You have such a way with light.
I was reading a magazine called Monocle, and they did a world-wide Quality of Life ranking for cities. Vienna came #8, which didn't surprise me at all . . . as I have so often drooled over it in your lovely photographs. I'm don't think they included quality of coffee and pastry in their criteria; if they had done, it probably would have pushed Vienna into the top three.

I'm not a typical coffee drinker, so I rarely notice the difference between good and bad coffee... but the pastries in Café Diglas are the most delicious ones I've ever tried. And the place is very inviting too - my fave coffee shop in Vienna! Good choice ;)
Happy travels.......
