Those colours are so amazing, and I have several books on the colours of Provence and Tuscany as well, but these images are exceptional even to many of them! Love the strength that these colours bring to the palette of the area and it reminds me of the sea and earth tones wrapped together in one, just brilliant~
Beauty everywhere. I know that Viennese people must suffer as many hardships and misfortunes as anyone else, but there must be some comfort in seeing the aesthetically sublime wherever you look...
Those doors would form the basis of a million and one shots, if you had the time to stand and take them! Aren't they glorious?
ReplyDeleteFascinating pictures Merisi! I'm already being tempted to return to Provence where I had my first solo holiday, as a student!
ReplyDeleteLovely. These doors with their colors suggest so many possibilities. They'd be a great foundation to all kinds of art work.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous backdrop to life passing by.
ReplyDeleteI'm still here! Been busy, moving into a new house, visiting Europe etc. Happy to see Merisi's Vienna still doesn't disappoint!

Sometime the images really remind me of the French Quarter.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to see your random peeps!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful doorways. I love the ornateness and the fact that they're all different colors and shapes.

ReplyDeleteI love how the brown door is framed by the jade and blue doors. A great colour scheme.
