Early Birds
are flying high
around the cathedral's spire
An open window
to let in the
cool morning air
The sun climbs
higher chasing
the shadows of the night
Window cleaner
turns a shiny leaf
Forgotten revelers
exposed to the glare
of the morning sun
Two cups of coffee
for a new day make
Morning in the City

Fells like morning. Love the play of the shadows on the sidewalk. That is one of the things about morning shadows and night shadows, to me the look and feel different. Although now that I think about it, it's hard to tell in a picture. Still, I love the photos.

I love the way the sun rises over the tops of buildings to illuminate the walls, sliding down to the street. Those buildings are wonderful to behold, Merisi.
