Would you like to see
and read more about Vienna?
Head over to
World Class Flâneur Gavin Plumley's blog
Entartete Music -
He writes from Vienna
these days and thankfully
shares his view of the city
and knowledge about music,
among others,
with all of us.
Enjoy!

My favorite light! I particularly like the arched passage way.
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures! I think the perspectives you have captured in the bottom one are astonishing!
ReplyDeleteI love the reflections in the first picture. Your photos are always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful -- but my eye is always captured by a progression of arches.
ReplyDeleteSimona,
ReplyDeleteI discovered that passage way only yesterday!
Wandering Star,
I surprised myself. *giggles*
Loree,
the building in the reflection is part of the Hofburg complex - the Imperial Winter Palace - and houses the National Library.
Vicki Lane,
these passage ways are fascinating, indeed!
Lovely shapes and soft colors.
ReplyDeletePOSTCARDS you need to make these into postcards, everyone needs to view these captures and so many more that you post~
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shapes (loved your use of the word "round"). I think I would follow those stairs anywhere.
ReplyDeleteWonderful perspective. I love the blue window frame and the blue print curtains. Lovely work as always.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I really enjoy your pictures an personal view of your city. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI often leave your posts thinking "Merisi really should do a book of all these awesome images." I felt that way once again today...
ReplyDeleteAmazing architecture on the first picture
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, love the one of the window, and the light on the palm house. Never been to Vienna in any way other than in my head, but you make me want to amble over. Now.
ReplyDeleteWow! I especially like the stairs/archways!
ReplyDeleteThe Durch House is very interesting. It reminds me on one of my dreams. And I love the window in blues and greys (mainly) - interesting design wise:)
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely...I love this photos..

A memorable walk...
ReplyDeleteGavin,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it immensely!
I hope there will be more on future visits.
Btw,
ReplyDeleteI did some research about the architect of that blue framed window. I have to do some further digging, but I have a suspicion he also built the one with that interesting wreath about the door.
Wow.. that top one makes me think of a roller coaster about to descend.
