  7. Oh, my eyes are dazzled! Rain never looked so good.

  8. Yes, Merisi, I also thought that first photo might have captured gems at Chanel, rather than even more precious sparkling rain drops.

What a beautiful selection of photos.

(I also must tell you how much I like that golden filagreed rooftop globe in the prior post.)

Yes, may the sun shine on Vienna tomorrow and grant you even more light to play with. xo

  9. Rainy evenings with the wet pavement reflecting lights always seem somehow fraught with meaning -- though why, I couldn't say.

  10. Gorgeous and dreamy! I love summer rain. I will dream of it a bit as we enter the dry part of the colorado summer.

  11. Thank you all so much for taking the time to comment! I truly enjoy reading your reactions to my pictures. It is such a pleasure to share my snapshots of life in Vienna with such kind and generous friends of "my Vienna"! :-)

The first image is not of raindrops on glass but of diamond patterns cut into the mirrored vestibul of the Swarovsky store at Kärntner Strasse.

It is still raining. I moved my books and computer to the window, the craving for light!

I wish you all a wonderful day, perchance some sunshine and if not, sunshine at least in your hearts,
    Merisi

  12. Your raindrops remind me of a crystal chandelier. Stunning!

  13. Is that a cupcake shop that I see? And the crystal window is amazing!
    How gorgeous!

  14. Merisi, you might say that those are diamond cut glass gems, but I think I will still hold on to my notion that you've captured raindrops! xo

  16. NYC,
yes, there are cupcakes in the shop window of Gerstner, one of Vienna's grand pâtisseries! Such an enchanting window decoration, isn't it? Especially on a rainy night. ;-)
