Another
rainy evening
in Vienna
Grey skies,
impending
rain
You know
where to
find refuge
before
the downpour
hits

I know I'm weird but I LOVE a grey day! So moody, so much creative potential!! Beautiful as always Merisi.
ReplyDeleteLovely images... never been there, but it is one of my plans... thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMisty and lovely skies!
ReplyDeleteGreat captures!
Happy weekend ahead.
Beautiful looking afternoon to me!
ReplyDeleteFine reason for a cup of coffee and something sweet!
Nice captures from the rains... I so hope that it rains here too in Mumbai..
ReplyDeletePixellicious Photos
I bet you cannot wait for the sun to come out!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it. Maybe the Leatherlips curse is widespread this year?
ReplyDeleteWell, living in the San Francisco, especially in and near eternally foggy Pacifica, I don't really mind gray skies. Usually, they clear up ( briefly ) for a bit of blue sky.
ReplyDeleteI love that cheery red umbrella heading in for coffee!
At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon!
( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well )

Oh, I like these captures. They've got an ethereal feel to it.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! And the red umbrella is like a cheerful exclamation point!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great place to take a refuge before the heavy rain comes. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteSWF~Dark clouds
The first shot is mysterious! Rather like some grey Egypt with Pyramids!

Nice for grey skies....all will soon clear and the return of Blue Skies will prevail.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what the tents were for?
Eaglesbrother,
ReplyDeletethank you for your kind comment and wishes!
You are right, there's a break in the cloud cover now, patches of blue skies, the sun can't be hiding that much longer. ;-)
The tents were put up for a fair. I passed through the square late in the evening, I did not check out what it was all about. This being Vienna, it may have been a food fair. ;-)
Oh, you have really captured the foreboding atmosphere there!
ReplyDeleteVery nice examples of stratus, Merisi. I have always found it tricky to get good pictures of.
ReplyDeleteI love the gray and black contrast. So lovely and cool looking. Regarding your request - great minds think alike; I just needed to finish my feeble attempts at editing.
ReplyDeleteHi Merisi, your pics are very suggestive
ReplyDeleteNice and unusual (at least in your pictures).
ReplyDeletelovely photos...love Vienna.
ReplyDeleteA delightful, interesting series of moody scenes!
ReplyDeleteVite, au café Pruckel!!!A very good reason to stop here!
