Blue + white = one of my favorite color combos of all time.
What was the temperature the day you snapped the cafe scene? I can't help but doubt you'd see many Americans sitting outside in the cold winter sun except at ski resorts and such. I might be wrong, though. : )
Winter blues are up for conjecture from the person viewing. It all depends on how you look at it. These photos show inspiration as they are in sunny and open areas.
Delightful, Merisi. The blue vase and white daisies are so lovely. Its always a pleasure visiting your blog. I agree with the blurb from National Geo. Traveler. I just realized I no longer have the Feb. issue. My new March one is now on the table.
Exquisite as always. I was thrilled to hear from you. Yours is one of my favorite blogs in the world. Thanks for taking the time to make such beautiful photographs!
Hi Merisi :) I popped over here from your visit to my blog today (thanks) I love all your images - today's Winter Blues is especially beautiful. How do I become a follower of your blog?
Thanks Merisi;) It's done! I also worried about losing photos etc on my blog (although mine is less than two years old) but I was assured this cannot actually happen too easily, I'm not sure about changing from your old[er] type blog to this new one. Yes, I had an influx of spam without the verification and had to re-activate it. Thanks again for your beautiful blog.
Merisi, I am so happy that I am again visiting your blog. Your photos and comments often make my heart sing.
After reading Sue's comment about Nat'l Geo., I had to smile. Today is the second day in a row when one of my cyberfriend's blog was mentioned in the Traveler issues. What celebrities with whom I associate! The flowers in the vase are more than beautiful.
I knew it had to be Venice even before I looked at your caption. So beautiful and I love the blue in your picture, so vibrant, the perfect color for Venice.
Are you dreaming or visiting? Either way - bella, bella, bella!

ReplyDeleteAh, brave Europeans enjoying their cappuccino on the frozen terrace in midwinter! (Or maybe some unusually hardy tourists, but I have my doubts.)
ReplyDeleteUn rêve...Demain, je m'offre des fleurs...des pensées pour toi.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments!

I must have taken that picture early on a Sunday morning, walking along the seaside, at Venice's Zattere district.
