When On
A Winter's Day
a traveler ...
...leaves a symphony of grey
to reach a place
where gentle winter sun
has splurged
on dusty pink,
and yellow hues
against
a faintly periwinkle sky.

A beautiful post which captures magically the spirit of a winter traveller.
ReplyDeleteThose pretty pinks look like sugar icing!
ReplyDeleteA lovely match between pics and words.
ReplyDeleteWonderful as always!!
ReplyDeleteI had my first Anna Torte yesterday in Demel at the Plaza and I am still in a Anna-coma today!! It was amazing!!
Let me know when your book is out Merisi. I will be your first customer.....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful; thank you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pairing of words and text! And those lovely pale confectionery colors!
ReplyDeleteMagical words Merisi. I like the way you spin words into pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove the statue with his "hat."
Ah excusez-moi Merisi but is it me or does the traveller look a bit snobbish? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI do love the hat. I shall be delighted to accompany the traveller!
Put me on the list right behind Britt-Arnhild! You should SO be published!!! You've captured the cold but sunny winter day in Austria. One can feel the dry, brisk temperature in these photos. Glad to see the sun shining in your part of the world today, too! It's going to be about 65 degrees today in Dallas....highly unusual. Most of my birthdays it is cold, grey, and wet. Today we have the doors open. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday,
~Allie
The colors remind me of water coored buildings.
ReplyDeletepastel pleasure for the eyes...lovely, lovely.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful tuesday.
You do capture the subtle hues, the smallest detail. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou have a way with pictures and I loved seeing them.
ReplyDeleteBLIMEY Winter!!!
ReplyDeletevery pretty but I want beaches and palm trees for the first time ever.
Sorry :(
Ah those sweet-like dusty pinks with the white icing, and the lovely churches bringing hope to the traveller, and your eye view that bounds it all together with grace!..
