ReplyDeleteI love these peaceful photos, the light is exquisite
Ah, so very beautiful as the light grows. Must have been a deal of pollution n the cold air to give that bouncing ball effect to the sun.
ReplyDeleteMany happt returns to all concerned!
Stunning photos, Merisi! And, Mozart ... one of my favorites!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know who your special birthday person is, but my husband shares a birthday with Mozart!
ReplyDeleteGlorious winter sunrise, Merisi.

Sara (FFF),
ReplyDeleteI agree, trees are magical! ;-)
Arija,
ReplyDeletethe sun rises out of the mist above the Danube river.
The air yesterday was so brilliant, I don't think that haze from pollution was the culprit. I have observed from Schönbrunn's Gloriette how in the course of the morning thick grey fog or mist rises from the river, then drifts over the city, obscuring the the sky until the sun burns through again (or not, as often happens during winter).
Arija,
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to mention that it was so bitterly cold, -15°Celcius, that just after I captured those images, my lens froze completely and I had to put the camera under my coat, to warm it up again. That may have contributed to the reduced quality of the light (the sun was clear orange when looked at by the naked eye).
Kelly,
ReplyDeletethank you,
we all are grateful for Wolferl, aren't we? ;-)
Bee,
it is my firstborn's birthday.
Belated birthday wishes to your husband! :-)

Wow.. the colours are amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and for such a special occasion... love the pastels and the timing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, the light is perfect and the silhouettes make the shots. I'd forgotten about Mozart's birthday, I happen to be listening to a Haydn symphony right now. And happy birthday to your firstborn!
ReplyDeletebeautiful, i love the pastel hues...very different than my mornings.
ReplyDeleteSoft winter scene. Such a delightful moon.

ReplyDeletethese are all gorgeous, but i think i like the first best. thanks for sharing-
ReplyDeleteBare tree limbs tend to look rather sad and lonely. However, they do make for great shots for Sky Watch.
ReplyDeleteFirst image is like a painting. Nice job!

Absolutely breathtaking captures, Merisi! Love the dark trees silhouetted against the pastel skies, so fragile looking! I do hope you have a wonderful weekend!
