  1. The monochrome tones capture well how cold it must be getting in Vienna now.

  2. @ Feronia,
it is not so much the cold,
but the lack of sun and light is what is most keenly felt, at least as far as I am concerned.

  5. @ Vicki Lane,
I didn't take many pictures yesterday, no time to stop more often on my way. Besides, a layer of high dense fog once again kept the sun captive, shrouding the city in an abysmal grey. *help*

Chanel right now had these blond mannequins in the shop windows, and I found them to be truly interesting beauties. The blond beauty reminded me of Karl Lagerfeld's muse, Claudia Schiffer, with a touch of Madonna's defiant wickedness. Can you see what I see in the dark model? I'd say it is Sarah Palin, going on book tour.

I wished I'd know more about the artist who creates those shop window fantasies for Chanel. They are some of the most creative ones around, not only in Vienna.

  6. @ Gypsy Purple,
a touch of Paris in Vienna,
they delight me to no end,
every time I walk by. ;-)

  7. @ Vicki Lane,
I accidentally shortened my comment, re the juxtaposition of the photos:
I found these images complimented each other, in this city without light (I'm afraid, Karl Lagerfeld would not agree, dismissing the citys images as too exhuberant *smile*).

  8. Merisi, I recently watched the movie about Coco Chanel, and enjoyed seeing your stunning pictures of her boutique in Vienna. She was a fascinating and very talented lady, to say the least.

  9. Glad you didn't post these mannequin pics at Halloween. I'd have been creeped out!

  10. Love the whole setup of this series of photographs. Chanel ladies have gorgeous eyelashes. I guess I don't qualify for one of them with my stubby ones.
