tell in no uncertain terms
where the shopkeeper's headed!

Or is it the Octopus's Garden,
luring us with white corals
and a red necklace?

Let's Hail a Caboach,
'cause we'd like to be
somewhere by the sea,
in an octopus' garden
in the shade!

  4. Beautiful pictures, Merisi. I love the ornate balcony windows of the Chancellery, and the charming way the shopkeepers announce they are on vacation.

    And of the photos in your "Postcards from Venice" post, my favorite is the first one. You always capture images from the most interesting angles and perspectives, Merisi. They belong in an art gallery.

  9. It's nice to see no check-reins engaged on the carriage horses in the bottom photo. When the weather is hot and sunny, I wonder why they bother to drive the poor things.
