Carol,
ReplyDeletethe area I took the pictures in is a bit elevated. Beethoven liked to summer just steps from Pfarrplatz and walk down Eroicagasse to the adjacent vineyards.
I took the pictures in the late afternoon, early evening today.
I should think that everyday, in which you have the opportunity to photograph such beauty, you pinch yourself just to be sure it is not a dream!!! These are some of my favorites!!! I love windows...for me, they represent possibilities! Absolutely gorgeous photos! You are so talented!!!! ~Janine XO
ReplyDeleteWindows, like eyes, flirt and wink and entice us to look a little closer. (wink!)
ReplyDeleteDoors are special, but windows can be just as intriguing, if not more.
ReplyDeleteMerisi..this has to be the most beautiful place! Is the whole country this beautiful? I love the green window frames and red roses!
ReplyDeleteJust stunning! Hubby must take me to Vienna for sure!
I love that green window with the flowers...wish it was mine! It would be nice to stand there in the mornings and brush my hair...=)
ReplyDeleteI love the bonus of the sky's reflection in the windows.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful day in YOUR neighborhood. I LOVE the window boxes full of flowers and everything is SO green!!

Windows are so alluring. They can make a plain house beautiful, like eyes, and they draw us in, tempting us to make up stories about the people who live in the rooms behind. For me the window behind the green picket fence has a mysterious appeal.
ReplyDeletetell me, you spread so much happiness with your blog, are YOU a happy soul..your images certainly show the beauty in life surrounding us...and you are the one that see's it all you MUST be...
ReplyDeletethanks

ReplyDeleteSuch lovely light, and so wonderful to see again (but through your light-capturing lense)those rich colours in Grinzing and Heiligenstadt.
ReplyDeleteBrandl...I have happy (and rather inebriated) memories of one May visit there a few years ago. These Heurigen are heavenly places for eating and relaxing.
Did you stop for lunch?
K.
Vienna seems to have the prettiest windows on its buildings.
