Yes, iced,
it was that hot,
and humid too!

  1. Calypso Rose and Mint iced tea...that sounds wonderfully refreshing on a hot summer day. Has it been really hot there?
    Happy Friday, Merisi.

  3. Allie,
it was hot and humid, like in the Deep South. The iced tea was the best I ever had: White tea with elderberry blossom and grenadine!
The tall glass cost but 1.20 Euro, can you believe that? Friendly atmosphere and service included!
Calypso Rose is the lady in the newspaper article.

    Juju,
not what one expects of Vienna, but it is typical of Vienna all the same: a surprise behind every corner. ;-)

  4. Vunderfbar!
    What can one say.
You consistently astonish with your fresh lively images...
I would like a closer look at the cartoon on the upper left page of that newspaper though...
    Do non-Americans drink Coke?
    Triste...

How lovely and summery your Viennese world looks . . .

  6. Paris breakfasts,
Carol, that gentleman could have been an American, couldn't he? ;-)

I dutifully added the cartoon in a larger format, just click on it to enlarge it even further.

  7. Bee,
I was referring to the jump rope rhyme:
    Anna Banana
    Can play the piano.
    All she can play
    Is the Star Spangled Banner.
    Anna Banana split.

  8. I didn't know you can get iced tea in Wien. I wish I'd known that when I was there - it was so hot and humid.

  10. Wonderful as usual, Merisi.

We just cannot seem to get our New York summer weather started. I pass by restaurants and cafes with sidewalk tables, and those tables are empty.

Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow, after all, it will be Saturday.

I will take my camera out for a walk. xo
