I would like to be here and drink a coffee with you, dear Merisi, discussing about art and life, comparing Demel's cakes and chocolates, looking at the new spring ...
Irgendwie ist der März dieses Jahr etwas hinterher. Bei mir blühen gerade noch die letzten Krokusse und voriges Jahr um die Zeit standen schon die frühen Tulpen und die Narzeissen in voller Blüte.
A terrific way to take a break. the outdoor cafes look like movie sets. Beautiful. Mersi, thank you for your so kind words for my blossom post. I treasure them coming from the artist that you are. Sue
I'm certainly game--they all look like good ways to take a break to me. (Oh, and I say if it's snowing, load up on some of those bakery items in that lovely shop--they're looking might soothing and inviting to me. I could readily drown my sorrows in those sweets.)
Thank you all for your kind comments! See you at your blogs! :-)
THE WANDERER'S DAUGHTER, Viennese are extremely comfortable about outdoor living, even in the deepest winter. They wear the necessary (and oh so elegant!) outfits with aplomb.

ReplyDeleteOooo I wish I was there
ReplyDeleteHow I wish!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos - are there any spots in Vienna that don't look like a picture book? Is there any graffiti? Or unsightly dumpsters?
ReplyDeleteAs usual I have enjoyed catching up with your posts. Glorious pictures!
ReplyDeleteMerisi, thank you for taking the time to visit my Southern Lagniappe blog and for leaving a note. I'm so glad it led me to your beautiful Vienna.
ReplyDeleteYour cherry blossom photos are absolutely breathtaking, and I love your photo tours of Vienna. I would love to see it all in person someday.
I'll be back to visit again soon.
Sincerely,
Janie
I'd like to have a break with one of those pastries that you pictured--any one would do!
