Very pretty! Lots of brown and grey. I love it all.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks cold there now. I'd like to curl up in that library. Hope you had a fun time with all your company.

ooh that church looks fab! Sigh, I do miss churches here:-(
ReplyDeleteSo, so beautiful, Merisi.
ReplyDeleteToday in the shop, I spoke with a lovely lady who is spending part of the year teaching in Austria. I told her of how much joy I get in visiting Vienna via your site.
She may also visit you, maybe not. However, she said that she loves how much respect is shown to the beauty of Austria by the people. When she returns to New York, and sees the casual disregard for cleanliness, the flip littering impulse, she finds her very soft voice raised to ask the perps ... could you pick that up, is that yours? etc. And often finds those droppers of litter very dismissive. And that once again shows her how beautiful a place Austria is.
As well we know from your glorious pictures.

That view through the church door, with all the fading light, is beautiful. I also love the sparrow - plump, compact birds always light a spark in me.
ReplyDeleteAnd as a former horsewoman, the Lipizzans always have a place in my heart.
I would love to spend a quiet hour in that beautiful church. And then on to the rest of the afternoon in the library!
ReplyDeleteThe library looks wonderful with all those ancient books; and of course, my favourite, the horses of Vienna. Thank you, Merisi.
ReplyDeleteDear friends,
ReplyDeleteyour comments warm my heart, they truly do. I am still in "visitor mode", however, I manage to photograph many beautiful things that otherwise I would not have taken the time for. Towards the end of the week, when everybody has left, I will do my best to share more of the sights with you. Best of all, I will finally visit you again on a regular basis, and to that I am very much looking forward to!
May your days be filled with joy,
Merisi
What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning, brilliant picture of the House Sparrow :-)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photos of the horses. I've always wanted to see the Spanish Riding School. They do tour England sometimes but have never managed to get to see them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo of the church! Looking through the door into the sanctuary.....great idea! I could spend a reflective morning between the church and the library and come away a very happy and centered person. Enjoy your company while they are with you and Happy New Year!!

Well, your photos never disappoint, and these are all wonderful. I was enjoying the magnificence of all of them, and then thought how sweet the tiny sparrow is in comparison to all the stately images. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful sights, yet the sparrow in her nest is the most appealing...almost like the photo of the church...loved them all...I've been away due to illness, but am back..so glad I stopped by!

Wow, I want to hang out in that library.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say. I just enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour site is wonderful.
LOVE your Mr. Sparrow about to breakfast...
