  1. You have some cool posts, like the bicycle. It's funny your post, Looking Up, I'm 5'3'' my husband is 6'1'' and he is always looking up, I told him short people never look up!

  2. Your pictures are always so...classy, there's no other word for them, well apart from crisp and clear and interesting and unusual and educational. They look as if the air has just been whisked clean. No litter on the streets or smeared windows and then surprise, the grafitti...and even THAT is superior.

  3. That's a gorgeous Christmas cactus! And why is it that your graffiti looks so marvelous? I would love to spend a Christmas in Vienna someday.

  4. Darla,
very interesting, your statement about short people not looking up!
I am 5'9", and now wondering whether I would still be looking up if I were shorter! ;-)

    Moannie,
    thank you! :-)
I remember some years ago, before I moved to Vienna, I went for an evening walk on a stopover here. I had just gotten off a plane, after visiting a desperately poor place, and waking through the city here, I felt as if I had arrived in Paradise: So quiet (much of the center is off limits to most cars), so clean, so safe. The city of Vienna, among many other traits, must have one of the best sanitary services, trash removal and street cleaning, in the world. I observe these miracle workers almost daily, and they have my full admiration.

    Willow,
    Christmas in Vienna is magical,
I love this time of the year here!

  6. Yes, cool indeed. That bicycle almost looks like it was stenciled to me.

  8. Steph,
I wander through your blog regularly,
wouldn't want to miss any of your musings. You must be one of the best blog writers out there! ;-)

    tut-tut,
the same thought happened to me,
    there's some stencil-like about it!

    Cathi,
there are plenty of chimneys on the roof, but this little Santa looks as if he has run out of energy! ;-)
