I love misty November skies
over the river I grew up with.
The warm grays are comforting,
calming balsam for my soul.

I guess wintery November is really there. I love how you have captured all the shades and tones of grey. Its actualy very calming.
ReplyDeleteWhat staggering beauty in those cold photos...
ReplyDeleteYour river seems so peaceful and the skies so quiet. Winter is upon us, yes? While it's cold and dreary, it brings us fireplaces crackling with warmth, milky hot chocolate, dark evenings to snuggle in with a good book, couch time with the Cupcake Princess catching up on movies we've missed, Christmas music, twinkly lights at night, celebrations with friends and loved ones, baked goods we don't usually eat, and so much more. Perception.

P.S. Have you ever spent a Christmas in Venice? That's something on my "bucket list". :D

ReplyDeleteHello Merisi - So much catching up to do as I recuperate! I am happy to be 'visiting' Vienna again. I first discovered your blog last year at Christmastime, and we are nearly there again. Can't wait to see Vienna all dressed up for the holidays.

Love your sky shots!

It looks chilly, but not depressing. I love a misty fogged in sky, with a bit of gray rain. Especially if I'm cuddled up warm.
ReplyDeleteMakes me cold, but they are good photographs.

So misty and atmospheric. So many gorgeous posts here Merisi (between bloglines being goofy and impending deadlines, I am behind once again) - more November roses, tree-lines lanes, the amazing glass conservatory, swans, single tree in a field-reminscent of a Tuscany hillside - the winding down of autumn as we begin the slide into winter.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you capture it beautifully.
Wonderful photos,all of them.Have a nice day!
