  2. What an absolutely delightful collection. The pastel-blue sky perfectly captures the atmosphere of an autumn evening over the marshes.

I wonder if those geese were cackling as they came into roost? Sometimes the noise made by large gaggles of geese can carry for miles on a still evening.

  4. My goodness, how beautiful. The shades of gold in these photos are wonderful. That boat is so beautiful. The angles and the way it appears to sit on the water are stunning.

  9. WEBRADIO,
I think so too. It's almost unbelievable who many diverse and beautiful places one can reach within an hour's drive from the city.
We took a two hour bike ride along those salt ponds, and it felt so remote from the everday hassle and bustle. We returned to the city full of energy, to take on a new week.

    WANDRING STAR:
Yes, there were so many flocks of geese arriving, the cackling never stopped. A really inspiring sight.

    H.PETER:
    Thank you, Peter,
that is so very kind of you! :-)
I am glad I can share this beautiful place, which is fast feeling like a true home.

    SANDY CARLSON:
These ponds are very shallow, indeed! Some dry up completely over a long dry summer, leaving a white layer of salt.

    A BRUSH WITH COLOR:
Yes, serenity, that is what one is surrounded down there! ;-)

    SIMON:
I keep telling you, you ought to come and see for yourself! :-)

    SEAMUS:
    I agree! :-)

    GINA:
    Yes, indeed!
    Welcome! :-)

  10. Merisi...These are all beautiful. I would have a hard time choosing my favorite. I think I love the one of the Young swan. The grasses on the edge of the water remind me of sheeves of wheat you see here in the midwest!

  11. These photo's could have been taken in the countryside around here. I guess that is part of that old saying, 'where-ever you go, there you are'. :)))

  12. I'm so used to seeing your city scenes that I forget that Austria must have a countryside that is as beautiful as the City...there are really such good shots, I feel as though I could take a walk on the lake bank...
    hugs
