The color of the leaves is really set off by the turquoise blue. Love the blue statue. What's it made of? It has such a brilliant sheen to it in the photo. ~Allie
Charles Gramlich: I hope "he" smiles at you, in your dreams. ;-)
Elizabeth: That Virginia Creeper is a sure harbinger of autumn approaching. ;-)
Allie: Porcelain clay, glazed, I would guess. During World War II, six of the original Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) vases (or amphores) werde destroyed. The missing five have only recently been recreated according to the 1899 plans by Friedrich Ohmann.
Love the angles and the drama of your photographs. The color is so amazing, Merisi! I wish I could take photographs that well. I hope you are having a good Monday or will it be Tuesday by the time you read this?
Please, please tell me the temperature is dropping and I will really experience autumn this year, even if it is just for a week. Two and half weeks and counting!
I'm having a case of the Shivering Fits...these pictures actually made me cold...lovely though they are...I'm cold! I'm back, and have missed you terribly...can't wait to go back in time and see all the lovely work I've missed! hugs Sandi
Wow, that blue statue is amazing. I think I'm going to have dreams about that face tonight.
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing colors.

What a dramatic wall, and all the more so with your angles.

Fantastic wall! I think you practice the better sport of the world, walking accross the town night and day, hunting the beauty of the things!
ReplyDeleteThank you, tut-tut! :-)
ReplyDeleteVickie,
thank you! :-)
It's raining here today,
and I am very busy,
but otherwise fine.
(Still Monday here. Yeah!)
Bridget,
I agree!
I try to walk wherever I have to go, and instead of taking shortcuts, I take the long route, if time allows. ;-)
Your photos have so much drama to them, from the delicate flowers, the passive sculpture to the agitated blue figure. A fascinating series.
ReplyDeleteOh, what wonderful photos! I always enjoy your walks. Thanks for letting me come along!

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteAutumn has already started here!
ReplyDeleteI really love that middle photo - not seen many blue statues but what a lovely colour it is and what a marvellous expression it carries.
And a happy Herbstfeste to all in Vienna!
ReplyDeleteWow! Nice colors! Is the aqua guy ceramic? Love him!
ReplyDeleteYou are the master of beauty my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI love coming here to see what you've been up to :-)
Love the blue face but can't figure out if he's roaring or yawning.

can it be possible that your photos are getting better??!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, pretty, pretty! I agree with all the face-love. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe're having a full-out bout of Indian summer here - September has been lightyears more warm and lovely than August was. For a few more days at least.
