What a lovely place to have a cup of coffee, read the paper, and enjoy the morning. Wish I were there and not in a school building this morning. :) ~Allie
Sometimes I like to imagine you taking your pictures. In this, did you just sit your camera on the table facing the tables, then slyly click the shutter when no one was looking?
steph, you are right, I was sitting at the table in the left hand corner, close to the entrance, trying not to be too conspicuous.
I see my photography as documenting moments of Viennese life. Sometimes I wished I had more time, to shoot with more care, await the perfect moment, but having the choice of either photographing "on the run" or not at all, I go for the best possible snapshot. I must say that I have some of the most patient friends you'd ever wish for, their sweet encouragements often make it possible that I take my pictures in their presence. I owe them tons of gratitude, as I do to the many people of Vienna who let me take pictures of their stores, their portraits, whatnot. I am deeply in debt for their largesse, that is for sure.
Hexe, that cafe' has sidewalk tables, they would be perfect for you! ;-)
Willow, I had lunch there (after a morning of sailing on the Danube): A slice of roasted young pork with caraway seeds, green cabbage salad, and bread dumplings - just perfect.
Love those tall windows that let in the light. I want to find a window seat and watch the people walk by.
