  3. Such vivid bright colours...all reflected in the water. Very clever of you, Merisi!

  6. I like the mix of the hot oranges of the flowers with the cool, blue background.....what a great eye you have! It was 106 degrees in Dallas today. How hot was it in Bratislava? Last summer, my husband and I cruised along the Daunbe and only got to see Bratislava from the water. We want to go back and spend more time in the area. Happy Monday!

  9. Maalie:
Thank you, I quite enjoyed catching them! :-)

    tut-tut:
It was one of these magic moments, when all of a sudden the same colours seem to stand out. The girl in the orange and blue walking by was sheer serendipity! :-)

    ll:
    Thank you!
Lavinia, you are down to two letters!!! I did remember your face, though. ;-)

    willow:
I love that hour of the day, the few minutes I took to take the pictures, the last rays of the sun painted everything in this magic light.

    my melange:
    Merci beaucoup! :-)
    The light was so inspiring!

    allie:
Temperatures were in the nineties yesterday, and I am not complaining, especially since they dropped overnight into the low seventies (a cool weather front is coming through). I love the countryside between Bratislava and Vienna, as flat as can be, my kind of a landscape (a German writer, Arno Schmidt, living in an equally flat area of Northern Germany, talked of "eine mir gemaesse Landschaft" - losely translated, "a landscape that agrees with me" -, and I wholeheartily share his opinion about flatlands *smile*).

    YUM!

  12. That's what public pools look like in Vienna! I could travel the pools just for their beauty. This one has a quite heavenly location too, high on a hill, with a view that's breathtaking. There are even more exquisite ones!

  17. Merisi - what a surprise. These photos are so different than your others. I love the contrast, I love them all. You are truly an artist.

  18. VICKIE:
I love the colors that pools display at sundown, together with the quiet shortly before closing time they exude an atmosphere of comforting nostalgia.

    LARA:
    I agree! :-)

    M.me L. LLAMA:
Oh yes, don't hold back! :-)

    WOMAN IN A WINDOW:
    Yes, I agree! :-)

  20. I love orange and blue together!
    Aren't the canna lilies beautiful?
I'm starting to long for summer.

  21. FREEFELLING:
Those canna lillies against the blue of the pool is a very cunning colour combination! I keep encountering such gifted and hardworking gardeners around the cities public spaces, and so hardworking and friendly. They make my day, every time I look at the result of their creativity and labour!

  22. Hallo Merisi,
    Excellent work, really!
