M.KATE: Thank you! I was surprised myself that the pictures turned out as they did: It was around high noon yesterday, and I walked amongst the roses under a blazing sun.
That is a really beautiful rose. You must spend all day wandering about looking for exciting things to show us! Peter and I have just come back from the Garden Centre after spending an obscene amount of money on some new plants and wonderful new pots.! Just hope he gets on and puts the trellis up before it starts raining again.
M.me LLAMA: I took these pictures and the ones from today's post all within little more half an hour (and I got a few more for future posts *g*). I moved quickly, the heat was literally baking the pavement. I was on my way from the Burgtheater to Kohlmarkt (with no picture taking this would be 10 minutes at most). The longest time I spent among the roses, until I could not stand the heat and the glare any longer.
ABSOLUTE VANILLA: I agree! :-) Thank you.
ROCHAMBEAU: You said it. Beautifully. And I agree! :-)

There have been countless times when I have turned to the Polar Star to get my bearings!
ReplyDeleteUnlike me, the Polar Star doesn't wander...

There is a kind of perfection in capturing a shot of a white rose, don't you think? So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThursdays rose is full of grace. In the prime of her life. Enjoying all of her fragrant glory!
