Two minutes
of watching pedestrian traffic
on the morning of Monday,
April 28th,
10.51 to 10.53am,
looking up Bleichergasse
towards the Vienna Volksoper,
from Fluchtgasse.
9th District
(Alsergrund)

A fascinating sequence of pictures! Is that a cockroach sitting on the wall just above the Bleichergasse street sign? I love those Viennese street signs.
ReplyDeleteLove it ! Very amusing, and with superb high definition.I wish that was my balcony (a perfect place for a cigar and a view).
ReplyDeleteK.
The smaller and thinner a person, the quicker the commute there! These are great. I love that last balcony.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you were up to, but thank you so much for allowing the photos to enlarge. And I so love that little balcony.
ReplyDeleteSuch a different feeling... This rush hour, and the quiet past photos. :-)

Nuttin' honey
Vonderbar!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! It would make a great flip movie as Sandi McBride said. I love the way your pictures always tell a story.
ReplyDeleteinspiring, sugar! what a wonderful way to "experience" vienna! xoxo
ReplyDelete:-)Ahh Merisi. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how I cannot tell what kind of weather you're having from that series of pictures. Some people have on heavy coats while some are in T-Shirts and light sweaters. All in the space of 2 minutes!
I really love that balcony too.
Hi Merisi, My first visit here. I come from Elizabeth's blog. What a beautiful building on the pictures. I first thought they are spot the difference ones and there is a lot of different traffic. Very busy. Beutiful blog!!

ReplyDelete"When Gregor Samsa woke up one morning from unsettling dreams, he found himself changed into a fly, sunning himself on the wall above the Bleichergasse street sign in the Alsergrund district of 2008 Vienna." (If only Kafka had lived that long!)
@ KURWENAL:
ReplyDeleteGanz Wien ist ein Theater, don't you agree?
Btw, I would be a bit concerned about being so exposed up there, at the balcony. Better not taunt Isolde too much! ;-)
@ SANDYCARLSON:
*smile*
@ SMILNSIGH:
I left the images open to be enlarged in order to better illustrate my point: All these people crossing from shadow to lights within such a short time frame. ;-)
Dear mystery Kommentare:
ReplyDeleteI know. A bit challenging. *giggle*
@ anonymous:
I agree. 100%
SandiMcBride:
Would love that! ;-0

It is my visual diary, that's why. ;-)

ReplyDeleteI think the ones with the heavier coats got up way too early to realize that the temperatures were going to soar later in the morning. ;-)
MARJA:
Welcome and thank you! :-)
The lady with the red pants must have changed her mind.
