Are you ever a bad influence on me! Ever since your pictures of those criminally gorgeous raspberry Isfahan macarons, I have been hunting them, finally found some half-way across Los Angeles. They weren't like your picture at all. Sigh...
Oh Merisi...It was one of those days when you wanted Anna torte :) It's been a while since I spoke to you, but everything is going great, I am in breads class now, I make AND eat a lot of bread....mmm X X X
Thank you all so much for your kind comments! This pictures carries sweet memories, all the way back to my former home in Washington. I took this photo one Sunday morning when I invited a gaggle of teenagers, who came here by train and stayed at a Youth Hostel, to a proper Demel Frühstück. One of the girls was an 18 months old toddler when I first met her, back home in DC, now she is 18 years old.
Isn't it too bad one has actual work to do instead of hanging around some frightfully good Anna-Tortes and the like? Could do with a sliver of cake and a good strong coffee right now! :-)

ReplyDeleteI like the way they serve water with the coffee in "continental" countries. It doesn't happen in England.
