Wouldn't You Rather?

Stop
and watch the butterflies

Get on your toes
and smell the tulips?

Go Pink
and sin until you can spell
"Kleine Naschereien"
in your dreams?

Clamor
for more "Kleine Naschereien,"
of the chocolate kind?

"Frou Frou"
yourself til
the chestnuts come home to roast?

Have a flirt
with the Kronprinz
and eat his Schnitte too?

Plunder
yourself from morning to night?

Oh goody,
I say,
go ahead and be my guest!

Rather than
sitting all goody-goody
in front of all these delights
doing nothing but drinking coffee!

Photographed
this past Thursday
at
Demel's Pâtisserie
Kohlmarkt
Vienna

  2. I can't believe I am missing out on all this, because I've been stuck in my apartment, studying and writing papers all week...

  3. What a mouthwatering blog to discover on a dreary Sunday morning, and lots to go back and read!

  4. Yum...and all I have here is a Ritter bar and a Meinl kaffee...

Demel is a paradise in a wonderful city.

Thanks Merisi for visiting (all in the name of research of course)!

Imagine me, having all these temptations right in front, and not giving in? Tough. ;-)

    Elizabeth in Marrakesh:
Oh, you'd get used to it! ;-)
Used to resist temptation, thas is.

These frou-frous are delicious concoctions made with chestnut puree, meringue and (what else?) whipped cream. They may come to my home to roost there any day. ;-)
