I love the colours! and your eye!
ReplyDeleteRochambeau:
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome!
There are thousands of painted eggs to admire in shop windows and at special Easter Markets right now.
Britt-Arnhild:
Thank you! :-)
Lovely all! And look at all those signs of coming Spring! Your city knows how to decorate.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, look at those Strawberry Eggs. Precious!!!!!! What a cute, cute idea!
And I love it that in the Thomas Stimm "Out Site" photo, {7th down}, the people still look as if it's 'nippy' out. Maybe some wind. But the museum has such a Spring-like display. :-)
Mari-Nanci
There is certainly no lack of color in your universe!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSmilnsigh:
ReplyDeleteMari-Nanci, it was a bit cooler, but the air still knew of spring. Today it's in the sixties and I have to hold myself back not to stay outside all the time (I want to see a play tonight, so I better stay focused on that *g*).
Seamus:
I have thought so myself! Color strikes me everywhere these days, from blossoming flowers and trees to the copper patina of steeples and roof embellishments which seem to have changed to a more vibrant shade of blue-green overnight.
Oh, the photos are lovely! It has been years since I have visited Austria, thank you for the memories! and the Strawberry Eggs are fabulous!

I came here on the recommendation of Mari-Nanci and I must say I'm glad I did because your photos are lovely, truly lovely. I look forward to stopping by again and again. :D
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I came from Mari-Nanci's site. I love the bunnies, strawberry eggs and colourful floral thingies. It's making me feel that I should take up my camera and explore the surrounding towns and villages again.
ReplyDeleteabbie amd az:
ReplyDeleteWelcome!
I am looking forward to seeing you again. :-)
dabrah:
Welcome!
A camera can help you see things that would otherwise go unnoticed. I am looking forward to see your finds.
Oh Merisi, such lovely pictures as usual. I want strawberry eggs, lol...

I would imagine that Thomas Stimm would see even more revealed in your presentation of "Out Site" than was originally conceived. So well thought through ... framing, focus, exposure, depth, altogether amazing!
ReplyDelete(and capturing the bunny from that precise angle brings the focal point of all of the "points" to the nose of the bunny perfectly. Super!)
it's always so beautiful where you are, sugar! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSandi McBride:
ReplyDeleteThere were so many painted eggs, but these strawberries really stood out.
John Michael:
ReplyDeleteThank you, I appreciate your comment!
Isn't it amazing how we are all drawn to the strawberry eggs - I love them too!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what it is about them that has us all entranced.
I was just about to comment that I love the strawberry eggs - but I see I'm not alone! I don't know why they stand out so much.
ReplyDeleteLove Thomas Stimm sculptures are wonderful and colorful too.

ReplyDeleteWOWOWOWOWOWOW!
ReplyDeleteThe strawberry eggs and the beautiful bun ARE TO DIE FOR!!!
BRAVO
So beautiful!! I truly love the little bunny. Mati-Nanci sent me to you. MB
ReplyDeleteThe strawberry eggs are delightful... and so is the bunny! How lovely.... it looks like you are enjoying Spring!
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to explain how uplifting your images are to me as I view them here in Vancouver, in the dull and dreary rain. Thank you!
ReplyDeletefreefalling:
ReplyDeleteBecause it is such a congenial artistic interpretation?
GoneBackSouth:
I can only guess, as I said above.
These and other eggs at the "Old Vienna Easter Market" at Freyung Square have been hand painted by women from the areas around Vienna, I have been told.
Cathy:
They are quite a sight there, all those colors against the dark gray museum building.
Vee ~ A Haven for Vee :
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Steph Waller:
It's a lovely neighborhood, like so many in Vienna.
backpakker:

Welcome! That bunny is one of my favorites too. I want to find out how much it costs.
Ex-Shammickite:
Oh yes, I do enjoy spring, every minute of it! ;-)
Barbara:
You are welcome!
I hope spring's on the way to Vancouver too.
Painted eggs and spotted rabbits, what a splendid combination!
