November roses... I like the their differences this time of year - softer, less vibrant colors and textures... I found a few of mine still blooming under an overhang - the smell is heavenly and surprisingly out of context this late in the year.
You make me think that autumn roses have to be painted, they are so precious and strange, they always look a little magic! You give them a beautiful tribute!
Loved seeing your pictures! Just beautiful flowers!

ReplyDeleteThank you!
I had to walk through the rose garden yesterday, to admire them once more before the gardeners cut them back for the winter.
Sonia:
You're welcome, my pleasure! :-)

I share your opinion,
and I love the green rose benches all along the rows of roses.
Very nice shots of the roses. I like the first one that's just starting to fade. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI think I was meant to visit your blog today.....! We planted 200 rosebushes this weekend:-)
ReplyDeleteI beg your pardon...
ReplyDeleteI never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometimes...
Many of your post titles, Merisi, conjure up beautiful songs...
LAST ROSE OF Summerrrrrr!

Lovely - even when they're fading, they have a unique aura of beauty.

I love that the roses are still around.

Always sad to see the roses dying... I used to save the petals to make pot-pourri, just to make the scent last a little longer.
