Poor litle rose ...
Isn't it so sweet how the dying rose is embracing the budding blossom with her petal?
I like the contrast of color between the dusty pink rose and the more vibrant red/pink in the background.
A moment later, the sun came through the clouds and lit up the background to a golden sea of leaves.
Love all the colors, texture and raw nature happening it this photo, Merisi! Ah, winter is coming...Happy Day ((HUGS))
I'm glad the flowers are still hanging in there. ;-)Paz
It is interesting how the final flowers of the season speak to us. We know the winter is coming, I think, and treasure falls final gifts more for it.
I laughed when I read Brian from Oxford's comment from yesterday - and then I thought oo maybe it's not funny, maybe he's a perv! Please say he's just funny!
fading roses have their own special beauty, don't they? I especially love the papery-slightly-washed-out color.
You are autumn roses'poet!Very, very difficult to paint, I can say!
You have made a dying flower a work of art through your gorgeous photo!
All of your photos are so good. For some reason love the withering roses.
Tracy:It is snowing while I'm writing this (Thursday evening). Yep, winter's bold! ;-) Paz:I enjoy each and every day they withstand the call to go to sleep.c'est moi:Somehow the slowly fading Viennese roses touch me more than any before. I rejoice every time I spot another one of these brave survivors. freefalling: I have no idea where in the world Brian is playing his jokes, but I am sure jokes they are. ;-)Becca:Yes, you are so right, Becca. They give me such tender feelings.Bridget:Thank you, you are so sweet. I simply love them.I'd love to see you paint one!paris parfait:Merci beaucoup! Gemma:Thank you. :-)"Lovers of Withering Roses", now let us all unite! :-)
