  4. What a delicious way to start my day!
    Such delightful temptations to behold.
What an elegant display right down to the flower bouquet!

I'm off to be tantalized while checking out your links. I love dessert and sweets much better than food!

    Have a great day Merisi!

  6. I tortured my husband with your photos. He reckons if we lived in Vienna, we would be the size of elephants!

  7. FREEFALLING:
I am not so much tempted while I am here in Vienna (after all, I know that all those delicacies will still be here tomorrow *g*), but when I set my foot into Italy, I have a more difficult time to resist. I am, firstly, on vacation, secondly, I love taking up my old Italien ways of eating once I get there (like a croissant and cappuccino for breakfast, so delightfully unhealthy`*g*). So I gained weight during vacation. *haha* Now I am battling to loose it again. 3 pounds down so far (so much walking, so many sacrifices!). ;-)

    LORENZO:
I hope you did find something suitably delicious to satisfy your cravings. :-)

    ROCHAMBEAU:
At Demel's just the fragrances wafting through the air are transporting one into other spheres! I have a hard time to resist the seasonal strudels, like the apricot in the picture (after all, I say to myself, it's mostly fruit, quite tangy in a delicious way, with a few sheets of really thin strudel dough, how much damage can it do? *g*). Before that there was rhubarb and then the cherries and, I am afraid, soon there will be plums.
And then the really tart flavorful apples of early fall. *help*

    HEXE:
Yes, exactly what I wanted to offer you all for Sunday, delicious breakfast fresh from the pastry kitchen! :-)

    CREAM:
If not on Sunday morning, then when, I ask? :-)

    PAZ:
I fully agree. Just walking into that pastry temple cheers me up from whatever bad mood I may have suffered from. And then the coffee, right at the bar ... *swoon*. Too bad, I must make my own today. :-(

    Thank you! :-)
Re my "wicked appetites": You are kidding, aren't you? Or do you think I should add a disclaimer?
    ATTENTION, PlEASE:
MERISI EATS ONLY SELECT BITES OF THE SWEETS SHE PHOTOGRAPHS!
All in the name of research, of course!
(Nota bene: I never mention or photograph food that does not hold up to the high standards I am used to!).

    *giggle*

No, I mean it! *stern look*

    Mélanie:
While Paris may set the gold standard, the Viennese are putting up quite a fight to at least keep up appearances! :-)
