1 - Kaisermühlen foot bridge
leading over the New Danube
to the Danube river.
The wind was so strong, I was afraid I'd get blown down.
2 - Looking east from the footbridge,
New Danube with the Danube Island on the horizon
3 - Looking north, Austria Center with UNO-City
4 - On the Danube river banks
5 - Looking east on the Danube river
6 - Looking west, Reichsbrücke
Wienerwald with Kahlenberg
7 - Rickety board *
*) I'd like to point out,
the boat too proved to be very unstable
in the gale that was blowing from the river.
Of course, it was streng verboten to trespass.
Oh those pictures give me chills!
ReplyDeleteNumber 6 is my favourite, it's fantastic the way you have captured the stratus clouds in an interesting setting. I have always found it very difficult to make a stratus picture interesting.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind if I downloaded it for my 'clouds' collection? I don't think I'll get a better one!
It is snowing outside my window right now.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine.......
THE WINE MAKERS WIFE:
ReplyDeleteI hesitated for a moment, before deciding which of the various definitions of chills you were experiencing (I for once still feel the chill I had to overcome to cross a narrow wooden board that was creaking in the wind, to get the picture of the fishing net). ;-)
MAALIE:
I only say "narrow wooden board". It was worth the fun, thank you. :-)
BRITT-ARNHILD:
Oh, that's not fair at all! I hope those flakes turn out to be fast melting flukes.
I like the fish net in Photo 5!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful photos. I could step into them at the precise moment your camera captured them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful but please bring back the sun!
ReplyDeleteAll photos make this a good survey. #1 is an interesting beginning and #4 with its red flowers add more interest.
ReplyDeleteCREAM:
ReplyDeleteI caught blue skies and flowers with raindrops sparkling in the sunshine early this morning, pictures later in the day.
Thank you all for your comments,
I'll be back. :-)
Really stunning photos.
