Very precious image.
Isn't it wonderful
if your teenager allows you to treat her to lunch?
(For the record: I do not have a teenager in the house!!)
You may even accompany her to a museum exhibition
Would-be Cerberus
Cautionary note:
On your way home, do not, I repeat: do not! not ever!,
stop and take pictures
with your teenager by your side
No teenager was embarrassed while taking this picture.
Have a great weekend! :-)
I am not aware of *anything* that one can do that will not embarrass one's teenager...
ReplyDeleteI agree! I have a 19, 17, 15 & a 10 year old......
ReplyDeletePoor merisi! but don't worry you are not alone! :o)
Your home is so elegant! Everything is in the right place.
ReplyDeleteI have a 17 year old girl,LOL, so I know exactly what you are talking about.....
ReplyDeleteHello Merisi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. My eldest just entered her teens and I really dread them! I so much hope I' ll be in step with her! I hear all those "can't help it" stories but I'd really like to do otherwise...I have been very quiet as a teenager, boiling on the inside though. I wouldn't like that for her, either...
I have tagged you.I hope you like this kind of game. Could you please share with us Five Things About You? (Mine are up on the blog. Please stop by!)
Have a lovely week,
Irene
You all:
ReplyDeleteI love teenagers. One only needs to learn to embarrass them less. ;-)
@ Irene:
Don't worry, just try to be the mother you wished you'd had, that's all it takes (firm rules inlcuded, kids need to be able to say, 'I'd love to come, but my terribly conservative parents won't let me!').
Five things about me? :-)
1) No sugar in my coffee, please.
2) I'm addicted to the Crayfish tramezzino at Schwarze Kameel
3) I love the sea in winter
4) I love Jekyll Island and Capri in Spring
5) I wished I'd own one of Robert Rauschenberg's collages.
oh I embarrass mine ALL the time ;o)
ReplyDeleteBUT they love me far it....!
Lol- Teens trouble, which reminds me of my cuz - he is all of fifteen and just got his ears and brows pierced...(uggh...thats his mom's sentiment :-)
ReplyDeleteAnyways we were telling him that no one will give him job with all these piercing and he goes....I am 15 for gods sake I am not jobbing now...Lad has a point....lol....anyways your musings just had me in splits..!
Simon:
ReplyDeleteIt may become an addiction. ;-)
Bendtherulz:
Yeah, there we go again, another teenager ruling the roost! ;-)
N.B.:
My sweet talked about one just looked at this post and had a good chuckle. Phew! Well, I have served her lasagne for lunch .... ;-)
