  1. That looks wonderful.
I've bought a French magasine called Cote Est. (I make a point of buying the winter issue. It rings Christmas in). And it's got all those archetypal Christmas decorations from Alsace ans central Europe, I really look forward to stealing afew moments once I've put everyone to bed, to make a cup of tea and immerse myself in it.

  2. I can understand your motivation, magazines are such a great way to make the world seem closer! :-) I endulged myself with the Thanksgiving issues of "Food and Wine" and "Martha Stewart Living". Looking through them makes me feel like visiting back home. I'll also buy the Christmas versions because I love the American Christmas traditions, both food and decorations. Will miss the Christmas trees at the White House and at the Capitol. They are such great destinations in the midst of winter, bundled up against the cold and enjoying the outdoors with kids and adults alike from all over the United States.

  3. Alpine butter on fresh-baked bread, or torte with coffee... Right now, torte. So, Merisi, are you from DC?
